The first week:
First Timers Class
This class is the introduction to the basics of whitewater kayaking. We will teach you wet exits, some fundamental paddle strokes for controlling your boat and learn how to swim your gear to shore. After this class you will be comfortable paddling around in any type of kayak and ready to learn the roll.

The second week:
Roll Class
This class covers the C to C roll in a step by step process to achieve success. Our instructors stand in the pool with you to give you a hand while rolling and allowing you to get comfortable upside down in your boat. We also learn the bow rescue, which allows you to practice your roll later on with a friend.

The third week:
Paddle Strokes and Brace Class
Learn to control your kayak and become an efficient kayaker. Sea, recreational, and white-water kayakers will benefit from the time spent in this class. Forward and back stroke, front and back sweep, sculling—are just some of the paddling strokes taught. Along with paddling strokes—learning to carve your kayak is an essential technique that is taught. Bracing is a technique that requires a lot of practice but when done correctly, can keep a kayakers hair dry for many river trips to come. The high and low braces are the best defenses against being flipped over. This class is great for beginning kayakers as well as intermediate kayakers who need to work on all aspects of paddling strokes.
