Flatwater Kayaking is a great way to get outside, get a work out and enjoy the beauty of the area from an entirely different perspective. The Columbia River Gorge is a host to many types of flatwater environments. Experience breathtaking views and the changing plant and animal life of the Gorge with experienced guides. Tours are available on the Columbia River, Rowena, Northwestern Lake, Drano Lake, and Lost Lake. Walk-ins are welcome or contact the school to schedule a tour. No experience is necessary. There is a paddling tour for everyone.

The Beginner Recreational Tour
Come and paddle on a relaxing trip that takes place at Miller Island or in the Marina in Hood River. This is a wind dependent tour. The trip is designed for people who have never been kayaking or who are uncomfortable in water and are looking to experience a few hours of stress free paddling.
Cost: $75 per person

The Intermediate Recreational Tour
The Intermediate Tour is designed for people with some paddling experience who are looking for the opportunity to improve their skills by paddling in a more challenging environment. The tour is a five-mile paddle from Mosier to Hood River, with views of the spectacular steep cliffs of the Columbia River Gorge. The tour will encounter some choppy conditions with some wind and small waves. This is a weather dependent tour that will give kayakers the opportunity to focus on paddle strokes and some rescue practice.
Cost: $75 per person
